To an ordinary guy, his hair is his crown and glory. What more to a male Hollywood celebrity whose bread and butter is his looks? Unfortunately, 8 out of 10 men will suffer from varying degrees of baldness and being a celebrity does not exclude anyone from this predicament.

To an ordinary guy, his hair is his crown and glory. What more to a male Hollywood celebrity whose bread and butter is his looks? Unfortunately, 8 out of 10 men will suffer from varying degrees of baldness and being a celebrity does not exclude anyone from this predicament.

So how do stars deal with this? Short of doing drastic hair follicle replacements and surgeries or modern medications, here are a few trick that Hollywood stars use to make their heads look like “glamour” written all over it.

Toupees

Humphrey Bogart and Jimmy Stewart were known for having hairpieces especially made for them and styled for them. Although this is the easiest and quickest remedy for baldness, it does have its consequences. Aside from being expensive and would require frequent maintenance, hairpieces are known for having an “artificial look” when exposed to daylight. It might look good on the cameras but it would make an ordinary Jow look ridiculous and would not be advisable for everyday use. Not to mention, winds exceeding 10 mph would definitely blow everything away and reveal to the world your “secret.”

Hair extensions

Receding hairline is the most common pattern of baldness. It is also the most difficult to hide. What to do? Make the most of what is left. Attach artificial hair to your own hair. Matthew McCounneghey, Brendan Frazier, and Ben Affleck are rumored to have utilized hair extensions in (or maybe even out) of the silver screen. While hair extension do have a not-so-drastic approach and, by all means, can be an everyday remedy, like toupees, it still has an artificial look in it and would only work with today’s cinema magic.

Drastic Hairstyles

This is the most common remedy that celebrities do to address their baldness. While comb over style ala-Donald Trump works well for elderly celebrities (as well as for the common grandpas) it does seem kind of out-of-date and has the word “bald underneath” written all over it. Fortunately, there are now modern hairstyles that would effectively hide, or at the very least, reduce the effect of baldness. Jude Law noticeably has a receding hairline, but with the right haircut and proper styling, we could hardly notice it on the silver screen.

Shaving it all of

However, if styling or haircut does not work for you, going all out could be the only way. It’s easy to do for the stylist and easy to maintain for the person. Vin Diesel, Patrick Stewart, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson to name a few are perfect examples of celebrities who went all out when their balding patterns are no longer controllable. Even with their crowns of, these celebrities still look dignified, attractive and retained the “glitter and glamour” celebrities are known for.

So take your pick; hair extension, new hairstyles, or going bald? Whatever you chose, pick the one that would make you feel comfortable and confident about your self.

Don’t worry. In this day and age, Bald is beautiful.

Hairstyles can pretty much determine how a person feel about herself. Most often, than not, people tend to judge you by just looking at your hairdo.
Hairstyles can pretty much determine how a person feel about herself. Most often, than not, people tend to judge you by just looking at your hairdo. A loose messy ponytail can aver your sloppiness or your carefree personality. And whether its embracing change after a bad break-up or impressing the interviewer to land a new job – how you style your hair can either lay open that you’ve moved on or you’re confident of your capabilities.

While its true that your hairstyle does not offer any form of physical strength, it does, however, condition emotional and psychological fortitude.

The jagged and choppy hairstyle (the current popular emo hairstyle) body forth a sad emotional state of mind of an individual. On the other hand, people sporting a punk hairstyle are supposed to be rebellious and antagonistic. A shaved head or a baldy is considered to be bold and empowered while men with a layered hairstyle are regarded to be preppy. Women with silky straight hair are perceived to be more serious, polished, and professional while women with curly locks are more bouncy, cheerful, and quirky.

So here is my confession. My hair is semi-wavy and most of the time it’s messy than sexy. I proved that after my boyfriend’s aunt commented on my unkempt tresses. When my mom offered to have my hair rebonded, I grabbed the opportunity and sat at Coco Salon for four hours. After the session, I was at awe. I definitely looked more polished and more grown-up. Thus began my wardrobe update, but that’s another story.

Yes, your hairstyle can affect your state of mind. A quick trip to the salon can either boost your self-confidence or shatter it when a stylist unintentionally gave you a bad haircut. Style your hair the way you want it to be perceived, and you definitely can’t go wrong.

Men and women always seek beauty in Philippine salons. Everyone thinks that hair is one of the most important parts of personal appearance. They constantly look for improvement to give themselves new hairstyles like celebrity hair. It is no wonder why Philippine salons business is growing fast nowadays. Studies have shown that even the economy is fluctuating; Philippine salons are still doing great.

Philippine salons business can be started with average capital. However, success will also depend upon the consistency of customer satisfaction. They should offer excellent service and must be using quality products. Philippine salons must have cozy ambiance, which is also a factor that will help customers to get mental relaxation, pampering and comfort at a very low price.

Most Philippine salons offer the following services:

1.	For hair: haircuts, highlights, scalp treatments, hair colors, shampoo and conditioning, curling and reconstructing.
2.	For nails: manicures, pedicures, nail repair, and hand conditioning treatments.
3.	For skin care: facials, massage, body waxing, body scrub, skin whitening, anti-aging treatments and many more.
4.	Selling Beauty products

Hairstyle trends for women in 2009 are the cropped bob and bohemian long hair. This is very popular nowadays in Philippine salons. The cropped bob style is ideal for celebrity hair because it shows the elegance and style, just trim the hair in short manner. For those who is not ready yet for short hair, it is recommended to have the bohemian long hair. Hairstyles for men are cool short hair, long haircut and faux hawk hairstyle. A short haircut is just a clean cut ideal for school or at work and popular mostly as celebrity hair. This emphasizes the facial feature. The long hairstyle is tricky because high maintenance is needed, but it still shows elegance and hunky good looking. While the Faux hawk hairstyle is most common in the Philippines nowadays, it shows the sporty look for men.

Famous Philippine Salon

1.	Artista Salon, one of the famous Philippine salons, owned by Mr. Jerry Anthony Medina located at 260 Road 1 Bagong Pag-asa Quezon City.

2.	Salon de Manila, one of the top Philippine salons in the country today. With branches located in Quezon City, Makati and Alabang.

3.	David salon, which is owned by David Charlton, and is the most successful Philippine salon in the country. It has so many branches to look for anywhere in the Philippines.

Truly, Philippine salons seek the help of celebrity to endorse their business. Some of the famous celebrity hair are the haircut of Regine Velasquez, Jolina Magdangal and Kris Aquino. The key to success of Philippine salons are to keep the clients satisfied, choosing the right place of the salon, have a clean and safe environment, well-trained personnel and affordable price.

They also like to look more masculine by having a neat and simple haircut. Therefore, most of them prefer to have their hair short but they still do not forget to be stylish when it comes to it. This is very evident in the hairstyles of pinoy male celebrities.

Most of the Filipino actors wear Faux hawk style. It is a more decent version of Mohawk hairstyle. If the latter shows a completely shaved sides and back of the head, this style just illustrates a razor sides that it allows them a little edgy without going to extremes. This can be achieved by applying a little amount of gel or styling wax on the longer hair on top of the hair so that it will stick up. Model and actors like Sam Milby and Dingdong Dantes are just some of the celebrities who popularized this style in the Philippines. With Dingdong’s, it is the shorter adaptation of faux hawk which shows his stunning robust guy looks. Its pure black color also adds to firm appearance.

On the other hand, Sam’s version is a trendier one because of its being longer and messy gelled. Its dark brown color makes him appear more of a rock star.

Another masculine hairdo is the army or the buzz cut. Since it is summer and it looks more of a brawny guy, many pinoys wear this hairstyle. It is less of a hassle because only small amount of styling product is required to be used. One of the Filipino celebrities who have this is Luis Manzano. He sets his haircut with a perfect bad boy look. However, his version is the one with medium sideburns.

Another common pinoy hairstyle is the Caesar cut. It associates layers that cut to about 2-3 inches all over the head with the bangs pushed forward and upward. It fits any face shape and hair type. It gives a suave look that is why most guys have this haicut. John Lloyd Cruz is one of the popular men who consistently apply subscribe to this style.
