Who ever said that only Hollywood stars maintain unique and attractive hairstyles? Pinoy celebrities also look up to Hollywood stars when it comes to choosing their hairstyle. They want to please their fans that tend to idolize them and so they want to have exceptional hairstyles. Hairstylists also help them in choosing the perfect style that will best emphasize their features although they still have their own preferences when it comes to their hair cut.

If you like showbiz and Pinoy celebrities, you may already have an idea of the hairstyle trend these days. The hairstyle of most male celebrities is simple and neat. However, these male stars see to it that they are still stylish in their own way. After all, they are popular and prominent in the industry and it’s natural for them to maintain good looks.

At present, a lot of male celebrities wear a hairstyle called ‘faux hawk’. It is often called the decent version of the Mohawk style. Instead of having completely shaved back and sides, the faux hawk illustrates razor sides for an edgy style. Dindong Dantes and Sam Milby were able to popularize this kind of hairstyle in the country.


Dingdong Dantes maintains robust looks using the faux hawk hairstyle but his is a shorter adaptation. For a firmer appearance, his hair’s color is pure black.

On the other hand, the faux hawk style adapted by Sam Milby is trendier. His hair is messy gelled and longer. He looks like a major rock star with the dark brown shade.

Pinoy celebrities also prefer Caesar cut hairstyle. John Lloyd Cruz is consistently using this style but he maintains longer hair and so his style is often associated with French crop. The hair is cut into 2-3 inches of associated layers with bangs. The bangs are pushed upward to accentuate the facial features and to create a suave appearance.

The buzz or army cut is considered a masculine hairstyle. This kind of hairstyle is usually preferred during the summer and brawny guys opt for it since it required very little styling products. Luis Manzano is quite popular for using this hairstyle. Manzano’s hair has medium sideburns to create a bad-boy look.

Pinoy celebrities usually change their hairstyle once in a while depending on their projects and assignments. Oftentimes, their hair should be suitable to the role that their portraying although in most cases, they maintain the hairstyles mentioned above with little variations.
